Well January and February so far have been pretty eventful. We landed in Cedar Rapids on January 1st from the Outback Bowl in Florida only to find out that my mom was in the ICU. So we spent the weekend in Cedar Rapids sorting out all kinds of stuff. She was at the hospital for about 2 weeks really just learning how to be human again. We got a couple of things worked out with dad so she could just go home, otherwise she would have been going somewhere else for awhile. A couple weeks after she got home, she went back. They found out this time that she has a colon condition called diverticulitous. Its kinda of complicated, but that would explaining why she's been having some issues. Its not as bad or as invasive as what I had to deal with back in 2003 and 2004. I suspect she can choose to have surgery, but don't know the details yet.

Kindra's been sick a lot as well. She had the flu for a week in January and then had a bad cold a week later. We are about 3 months away from having our baby. Its going to be a boy! We can't wait. Just praying that he will be healthy and a happy little boy.

Other than that, its just been the normal busy times. We have a wedding to go to in a couple weeks, then I'm sure we'll be going to some lamaze classes. We have most of the major items for our baby. Just a few more things to get.
