So last weekend was a hit....actually it was un-eventful. Kindra was extremely sick. She couldn't keep anything down at all. Now I realize she is dealing with morning sickness. We determined that she had a flu bug from work too. Nothing was working though, not crackers, nor soup or Sprite. Finally, last night (Sun.) she was feeling better and tomorrow she will go back to work. We did buy a couple of baby things. A pack 'n play for $50 and a nice dresser/changing table for $85. It was an investment. We probably saved $300 or so given that new items would have cost over $400 b/w the two.
It was rough staying at home, but I do love taking care of Kindra. That's why I signed on the dotted line!! hehe. No, really though, I do love her. We watched a lot of football and baseball and I couldn't believe the futility this weekend. Iowa lost, the Red Sox lost, the Brewers lost, heck even Nebraska lost...wait, we wanted them to lose. It was bad though, and also the Packers lost. And then just throw out the Fantasy league I'm in and the Pick 'em league I run. This weekend we are going to beautiful Indiana where the Hawkeyes hope to turn or right the ship in Bloomington. The band goes to one road game per year, minus the Iowa State trip the years we play them in Ames. Going to Indiana will mark the 8th Big Ten stadium that I've visited since I've been involved with the marching band since 1998. Only Ohio State, Wisconsin and Penn State stand in my way. I suspect if I stick with it next year, I will cross off another one.
In other news...I have contacted one of my friends from high school and her dad is the CEO of Berthel Fisher in Marion, and I have scheduled an on campus meeting with a recruiter there later this month. This would be an answered prayer as our families live in Eastern Iowa. We probably wouldn't live in Cedar Rapids but maybe Iowa City or Coralville. We found out that there is a medicare position for Kindra at Vangent in Iowa City should she choose to pursue that. That position would be courtesy of one of my college friends who works there. We'll just have to see and continue to pray for this. It would save us a lot of money to just move back to the East side of the state. Its a lead...we'll see where it goes.
I think that's it.

Tell Kindra I know exactly what she has been experiencing. I definitely feel for her! It's awful! Hopefully it will surpass by the time she gets in her second trimester. I hope things work out both for you and Kindra and you are able to except new positions, and move back here if that's what you both hope for. I will be praying for you.
Talk to you later.
